The Central government has declared as many as 441 hospitals in the state the best and announced cash rewards.
The District area hospitals will get Rs 50 lakh as first prize and Rs 20 lakh as second best and a consolation reward of rupees three lakh. For community health centres, a cash reward of Rs 15 lakh as first prize and Rs 10 lakh for the second best, and a consolation reward of rupees one lakh. The best Primary Health Centre (PHC) will get rupees two lakh and a consolation reward of Rs 50,000.
In the Urban category, the UPHC the best will get a cash reward of rupees five lakh and a consolation reward of Rs 50,000.
In Hyderabad city, UPHC will get RS 2 lakh for the first best and Rs 1.5 lakh for the second best and a consolation cash reward of rupees one lakh.
The Siddipet got a maximum award of 14 to hospitals in the total state.
Health Minister T Harish Rao congratulated the health department staff for their dedication and for bringing laurels to the state.
