The massive public meeting that kicked off the campaign for the imminent Munugodu Assembly by-election in Nalgonda district was a super hit.
People started gathering hours ahead of the scheduled time and filled every inch of the 25-acre ground arranged for the purpose.
Unlike his usual speech, Mr KCR involved the people by asking them questions frequently. When he said he was moved by the fluorosis problem of people and spent a night at Sivannagudem, the crowds clapped and cheered endlessly. They thanked him for his empathy.
Thousands of women came in groups carrying Bonalu and they danced in gay abandon feeling proud to be part of the CM Mr KCR’s meeting and his presence in their village.
As usual Mr KCR delivered a spell-binding speech while listing out what he delivered and lashing out at the wicked BJP.
“Do not be complacent while casting your votes. With the BJP, our lives will be in danger. We should show our strength approving progressive politics,” he said evoking thunderous applause from the crowds.
Referring to the support extended by the CPI, he thanked them and said more progressive-minded parties will join hands in the future to unseat the BJP at Centre.
The chief minister Mr KCR traveled by bus and accompanied thousands of four-wheelers for over 50 kilometers from Hyderabad. En route, people gathered in large numbers on either side of the road to have a glimpse of Mr KCR and waved at him. He too reciprocated by waving his hand and saluting them with folded hands.
His serpentine convoy passed through Uppal, Nagole, LB Nagar, ORR, Choutuppal, and Narayanapuram before reaching the Munugodu public meeting venue.
All through the way, people greatly cheered at him. Mr KCR looked very happy and contended with the public response.
