The Yadadri thermal power plant will be inaugurated soon, said finance minister Mr T Harish Rao. The Bhadradri power plant with a capacity of 1080 MW started and 800 MW Kothagudem power plant started production, he said.
The power plant built by SCCL at Jaipur in Mancherial also started power production. When the Telangana state was formed the power production was 7,778 MW but now it has been increased to 18,453 MW.
The solar power accounts for 5,741 MW. The per Capita power consumption that was 1356 units has increased to 2126 units after the formation of Telangana state.
