Workshops on “MSME Prosperity – Opportunities and Vendor Development”

The economic and social importance of the micro small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector is well recognized in academic and policy literature. They play a very important role in the economy in terms of balanced and sustainable growth, employment generation, development of entrepreneurial skills and contribution to export earnings. However despite their importance to the economy, most MSMEs are unable to stand up the challenges of globalization. It is recognized that this sector in the economy are underserved, especially in terms of finance.

This sector is the provider of essential products and services to the people and registered a higher growth rate than the rest of the industrial sector. The above said objectives can be achieved only by improving the access to finance of micro small and medium enterprises.
