BJP senior leader Venkayya Naidu has reiterated his party’s unstinted support to the Telangana statehood movement and assured that the NDA would grant Telangana as soon as it is voted to power. He was addressing the mammoth public meeting organized to mark the culmination of Kishan Reddy’s Telangana Poru Yatra.
Chattisgarh Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, who was one of the chief guests at the meeting, said that it was the Telangana movement that had inspired the Chattisgarh statehood movement. He reminded the famous poem of Pavan Diwan “Har jawan ban gaya deevana, Chattisgarh ban jaayega Telangana”
Raman Singh said that if Congress doesn’t grant Telangana, then those who will grant it are sitting on this dais.
BJP state president Kishan Reddy said that the people of two regions in this state are quarreling on a daily basis in the united state. He blamed the Congress and TDP parties for playing with the emotions of people.
Telangana Joint Action Committee convener Prof Kodandaram said that the movement will continue until statehood is achieved. TNGO leader Swami Goud also participated in the meeting.
