We are forever indebted to CM KCR: Regularised Gurukul teachers

As many as 567 teachers working on a contract basis in Social Welfare Gurukul schools were regularised. Orders were issued to this effect on Monday. They were overjoyed with the decision of the Chief Minister Mr KCR.

A score of them met Minister Koppula Eswar, Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and Minister G Kamalakar and honoured them with shawls. They distributed sweets and expressed their profound thanks to CM Mr KCR.

Telangana State Social Welfare Teachers Association president Balaraju said it was Mr KCR who provided them with the needed job security and they are all indebted to them. He brought light to the lives of 567 lives of teachers. General Secretary Prabhu Das said they will be indebted to Mr KCR throughout their lives for his kind gesture. He fulfilled the long-cherished dream of the teachers.

The state government had earlier regularised the services of 139 teachers working in BC gurukuls this month. Chief Minister KCR has vowed to end the system of contract and outsourcing system of employment in government agencies. This promise he made during the Telangana agitation and upon achieving the much cherished dream, he is now delivering the promises of those days now in a phased manner.

The employees in electricity and other departments have already regularised. Now it is the turn of the teachers. Recently, services of junior lecturers were also regularised.
