UK-based Company to Offer Incubation Services to T-Hub

T-Hub here on Thursday has plugged into the London start-up eco-system by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ledmac Ltd of the United Kingdom.

What is seen as a strong step towards making T-Hub a world-class incubation centre, the UK-based company will now offer the best of international incubation services to the start-ups in Hyderabad. The MoU was signed by Sarfraz Hasan, CEO, Ledmac Ltd and Jay Krishnan, CEO, T-Hub in the presence of Sajid Javid, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, UK and state IT minister KT Rama Rao.

Speaking on the occasion, KTR said “We are happy to inform that the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, UK has visited the India’s largest technology incubator today. In his presence, we have signed an MoU with a company named Ledmac to help our start-ups. These kind of MoUs will give our youth an opportunity to network with citizens of other countries and will help them immensely to go forward in this stream.”

“The UK Secretary has expressed his willingness to work with Telangana government in various fields like health care, cyber security, skill development, gaming & animation, defence etc. He also assured that the secretary for Life Sciences, UK will visit Hyderabad soon so that we can collaborate and work together in this field also. He has also invited us to their country so that we can get an idea of what is actually happening there,” Rama Rao added.

The IT minister said, “Javid opined that just like Israel, India can do miracles in this field. He also assured that some of the best start-ups from the state will be given an opportunity to promote their ventures in UK.”

Sarfraz Hasan, CEO, Ledmac Ltd, said “There is a huge requirement for incubators in a country like India. We are here to extend our complete support and I feel that when it comes to start-ups, Hyderabad has an edge over other cities, including Bangalore.”

“Through our accelerator programme, we want to take some of the best entrepreneurs to our country and train them at free of cost for a few days. As of now, nothing has been materialized, but we will be soon taking some decisions,” Hasan added.

Ledmac Ltd is a London based education services company that specializes in building or supporting incubators, entrepreneurship education and social entrepreneurship projects. It is going to launch an ambitious micro-entrepreneurship project in India that has the potential to impact one lakh micro-entrepreneurs in India over the next ten years.
