The much-awaited website of the Telangana Public Service Commission (TSPSC), www.tspsc.gov.in, went live Saturday, with a pleasant surprise to job aspirants in the State.
The website will mail job alerts to eligible candidates based on their educational qualifications. All that they need to do is upload and update their details on the site.
Candidates will have to register themselves on the website and once a job notification comes out, auto-generated alerts will be sent to them, both via email as well as a text message.
“This feature was designed to save time for aspirants,” said Prof Ghanta Chakrapani, Chairman, TSPSC. It will also generate a 10-digit unique code number for every candidate.
The TSPSC has scrapped the conventional off-line application process and introduced the online application system. For any notification, applications will be received only on the website.
The commission has also introduced an online help desk to answer queries of job aspirants.
The new website was launched by Governor ESL Narasimhan here Saturday. While launching the website, the Governor advised the TSPSC to maintain transparency in recruitment process. K T Rama Rao, Panchayat Raj and IT Minister unveiled the logo of TSPSC. The logo, designed by artists, Aelay Laxman and Aelay Ramesh, has the geographical map of Telangana State and the Asiatic lion in the middle.
The motif resembles a lamp and an open book which are the symbols of the quest for knowledge and unwritten future respectively. It also symbolises ‘Batukamma’ with a mound of various flowers.
