The Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA), who played an active role in green revolution from past one year under the banner of ‘TITA GreenzPledge’ has supported and particiated in the ambitious Haritha Haram Programme in IT corridor. Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha kick-started the programme by planting a sapling at Cyber Gateway, Hyderabad. Kavitha has also taken up the ‘TITA Green Pledge’ at the event.
Stressing the importance of increasing green cover for the benefit of the future generation, MP Kavitha said that Haritha Haram was not a government programme but a people’s movement for the protection of environment. She said they would distribute saplings free of cost to all and appealed people to plant the saplings and nurture them with care. She appreciated the efforts being taken by the Telangana IT association in feguarding the greenery and conserving the nature.
“TITA will be spreading this ‘Haritha Haram’ awareness about the environment sustainability in the society through this initiative and will be using various social mediums platforms like Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, etc effectively for popularize the cause. TITA requests everyone to educate and engage their family, friends, neighbors and coworkers to participate in Haritha Haram.” said TITA Founder & President Sundeep Kumar Makthala.
To create awareness about protecting the saplings planted during the Haritha Haram programme, TITA has taken up a unique initiative. TITA President Sundeep Kumar Makthala called upon the people to take ‘TITA Green Pledge’ and upload the photo on TITA Facebook page. Mr. Makthala said they would organise a programme to felicitate some selected persons for best picture. “We hope that this contest would encourage youngsters to adopt plants.”
TITA Vice President Ranapratap Bojjam, General Secretary Naveen Chinthala, Orgarnising Secretary Vishwak Lakkireddy, Venkat Vanam, Women’s wing General Secretary Sailaja Siramsetty, Sampath Kumar Makthala, Suresh, KL Narsimha Rao, Ramesh Podishetti, Ravi Anthony, and others participated in the event.
