TRS party calls for week-long celebrations of Rythu Bandhu scheme.

TRS working president and IT minister Mr K T Rama Rao and agriculture minister Mr S Niranjan Reddy called for a week-long celebration across the state on Rythu Bandhu scheme from January 3 to 10.

So far Rs 50,000 crore were disbursed to farmers since the scheme was introduced on May 10 2018 by the TRS government. It has benefitted 63 lakh farmers in the state. Each farmer is getting Rs 5,000 per acre twice a year. Beginning from the completion of the stupendous Kaleswaram project to the revival of village-level tanks through Mission Kakatiya, the TRS government had taken up several initiatives to strengthen the farming sector. It also introduced Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema and ensured a hassle-free supply of seeds and fertilisers and hence the celebrations.

Mr Rama Rao wanted party workers and the elected representatives in their respective constituencies to ensure that women are involved by drawing rangoli on the theme and also conducting essay writing and elocution competitions to students to create more awareness about the development and welfare programmes.

He also wanted the local MLAs to coordinate well with the media persons to get maximum publicity to the celebrations to reach out to large section of people.

Mr Rama Rao also wanted to create a festive atmosphere at nearly 2,600 rythu vedika offices and wanted the MLAs to release pamphlets on benefits extended to local people in their respective constituencies.

He wanted the elected public representatives to write a detailed letter about the celebrations and the way they should be conducted following Covid protocol to all MLAs in the state.
