TRS President K Chandra Sekhar Rao in formed the GoM members that ‘Curbing any of Telangana state’s powers or imposing any conditions on Hyderabad are nothing but an insult to Telangana people’.
“For whom are you granting statehood to Telangana. Is it for Telangana people, who has sacrificed their lives or for Seemandhras, who have looted it? Are you planning to legitimize the loot of Telangana”? demanded KCR.
The meeting with GoM, which was initially slated for 20 minutes, extended to one hour. KCR was accompanied by TRS General Secretary K Keshava Rao.
In his discussions, KCR clearly informed the GoM, that Telangana people would not accept the state without full control over Hyderabad. He also gave detailed information about injustice done to Telangana region in the last six decades.
KCR demanded that Telangana should be treated on par with 28 existing states.
