The flyover in Hyderabad was named after Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.

The second-longest flyover in Hyderabad city from Owaisi – Midhani fly over was dedicated to the nation by the IT minister Mr K T Rama Rao here on Tuesday. A 1.36-kilometer flyover costing Rs 80 crore starts at Midhani junction and extends up to Owaisi junction with all modern amenities.

With this vehicle passing through the Aramgarh, Chandrayanagutta to LB Nagar and Byramalguda would pass through hassle-free saving much fuel and avoiding traffic snarls. This will also reduce vehicular pollution considerably.

Speaking on the eve, minister Mr Rama Rao said this was being dedicated to the people of Hyderabad.

Mayor G Vijayalaxmi, ministers Md Mahmood Ali, T Srinivas Yadav, Sabitha Indra Reddy, MP Asadudding Owaisi, and others were present.
