The Congress party in Telangana headed for a vertical split

The Congress party unit of Telangana which is already in despondency is headed for a vertical split. The very relevance and existence of the party are on the verge of extinction. It all started with the party’s high command announcing the various committees recently. Many seniors and old-timers were left out while those who recently joined were accommodated.

TPCC president A Revanth Reddy who resigned from TDP managed to secure the TPCC president post suppressing the seniors in the party. The bad days started in Telangana Congress since party state incharge Manickam Tagore and A Revanth Reddy were appointed. The seniors are against Revanth Reddy and now they openly came out against him. They contend that of 108 members in various committees, 54 belong to TDP who came with Revanth Reddy.

The seniors decided to boycott all meetings and programmes of Mr Revanth Reddy. Former deputy chief minister Damodara Rajanarasimha, Madhu Yashki, N Uttam Kumar Reddy and several others raised a banner “save original Congress ” and they decided to go to New Delhi to meet party high command.

The CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka whom the leaders are meeting with their grievance said the party’s high command did not consult him while constituting the committees. Meanwhile, the party high command sent a message that AICC secretaries would be arriving in Hyderabad to take note of the situation on Sunday.
