Sircilla textile town, has now attained a unique distinction in Karimnagar district with the introduction of Smart police town by adopting latest information technologies.
With a mission to provide security to people and property of the textile town, the Sircilla sub-division police developed a novel concept of smart policing by using IT following the initiatives taken by Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj K Taraka Rama Rao, who also represents the Sircilla Assembly segment.
As part of the smart policing, the police in coordination with the R&B officials decided to install six electronic gates at all the entry points into the textile town. Besides, we had also installed 43 CC cameras at a various locations to check chain-snatchings, eve-teasing, protection of religious places etc, he said.
