Telangana union sweeps Hyderabad Water Works elections

One more election, and the result is the same! After winning the Singareni Collieries union, GHMC Union, APSRTC Union, and Teachers’ MLC election, Telangana statehood aspirations have once again been heard loud and clear in the Hyderabad Metro Water Works and Sewarage Board Employee union elections.

TRS win has once again proved that whatever election it may be, its Telangana movement that wins.

TRS MLA T. Harish Rao, who has now become a synonym for success, trounced his opponent Vikram Goud from Congress party. It is worth noting that Vikram Goud’s father, and state minister Mukesh Goud had been winning these elections from past four terms.

The ruling Congress party and the main opposition TDP lost the election. For TDP and MIM parties, the deafest was humiliating, as both the parties lost their deposits.

Both Congress and TDP took these elections as a matter of prestige and left no stone unturned.  But they had to bow their head before the surge of Telangana statehood aspirations.

This is another fitting reply to all those detractors, who said that Telangana movement is not strong in Hyderabad.
