The 16th edition of BioAsia will be organized in the city from February 25-27, 2019 at Hyderabad International Convention Center (HICC).
Telangana State Life Sciences Advisory Committee headed by Satish Reddy, Chairman, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories met Minister KT Rama Rao at Camp Office on October 3, 2018. In the meeting, the committee members apprised Minister on the plans for BioAsia 2019.
BioAsia is an annual flagship international healthcare and technology convention of the Government of Telangana organized in partnership with Government of India. A plethora of center and state organizations including TSIIC, Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH), State Innovation Cell, Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA), BIRAC, Invest India, Department of Pharmaceuticals, CSIR etc will come together in organizing this prestigious event.
“BioAsia has gained quite a high recognition over the years and has been witnessing participation of Life Sciences and Healthcare leaders from over 50 Countries every year. The event is expected to be a window to the future of life-sciences and will deliver the ultimate platform to anticipate the next required shift in perspective, vision, and innovation in the area of life sciences. BioAsia has been and will continue to be the instrument to project the State’s strength and commitments in the field.

BioAsia 2019 event will be organized with the theme of “Life Sciences 4.0 – Disrupt the Disruption” focused on re-imagining healthcare as a result of technological change and rising customer expectations, while deliberating the ramifications for life sciences companies’ market offerings, business models and the new capabilities needed as the disciplines of healthcare and technology merge to become Digital Medicine.
Prof. Balasubramanian, Distinguished Scientist (& ‘Director of Research’ Emeritus of LVPEI), Dr. Rakesh Mishra, Director, CCMB, Dr. Ajit Rangnekar, Director General, RICH, Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary (I&C) and Director, Life Sciences & CEO of BioAsia, Shri Shakthi Nagappan, participated in the meeting.
