All the National and State highways leading to Hyderabad are blocked, as per the call given by Telangana Political JAC. The roads leading to Vijayawada, Srisailam, Mumbai, and Nagpur are completely shut down by the T activists. T activists staged dharnas and raastha rokos on all the arterial roads. Vehicles from Seemandhra and other states have been stranded on these roads.
There have been reports of massive traffic jams on near Kothagudem, Kodad (Nalgond dist), Zaheerabad (Medak), Alampur (Mahabubnagar), Adilabad and Khammam. Vanasthalipuram and LB Nagar, in Hyderabad, from where the roads lead to Seemandhra regions, have been blocked. They even built a wall on the main road to prevent any vehicle passing on.
Since Hyderabad has been the key junction connecting North and South India, Telanganaites literally choked the roads and tried to break the link between the two parts of the country. Upper states have realized the impact and are trying to divert traffic to South India via Karnataka. However, due to meticulous planning by the Telangana agitators, hundreds of transport vehicles have jammed the roads and the blockade is running successfully.
