Four districts in Telangana state topped the Swachh Survekshan rankings in two categories. The central government announces the ranking every three months and for October to December, 2022, under the three-star category, Siddipet and Jagtial districts bagged the first two ranks while under the four-star category, Sircilla district got first rank while Peddapalli district got third rank.
Municipal Administration minister Mr K T Rama Rao congratulated and thanked all the field staff and district officials for making the state proud. He urged them to continue their efforts and earn more laurels for the state in the future as well.
Panchayat Raj minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao expressed happiness at the rankings and congratulated all the sarpanches and officials for their contribution. The ministers also congratulated the Mukhra K village Sarpanch Meenakshi of Ichoda mandal in Adilabad district on being selected for the Swachh Sujal Jal Shakti award.
Meanwhile, a delegation of UNICEF lauded the efforts of the Telangana government in the management of Anganwadi centres. Members of the UNICEF international delegation Richard Beetan, Raghav Arora, Rahul Bansal, John Sparks, Mohini Daniel, and Chyathi Tiwari toured the Ranga Reddy district Maheswaram mandal. They visited the primary school and Anganwadi centres in Thummuluru village.
They said the children were getting nutritional food and Anganwadi centres were working excellently in the state.
