Rich tributes were paid to Doddi Komuraiah, the first martyr of Telangana Peasant Armed Struggle waged against the eighth Nizam.
Speaking at a commemorative meeting held at Kadivendi, Prof Kodandaram said that Telangana inherited the fighting spirit of Doddi Komuraiah.
The meeting was organized by CPI and Doddi Komuraiah foundation.
CPI state council member Siddhi Venkateshwarlu, TJAC Co-convenor Mallepalli Lakshmayya, Doddi Bikshapathy and DKF secretary Asnala Srinu participated in the meeting.
Another meeting was held at Basheerbagh Press Club by Deccan Cinema in which MLC Chukka Ramaiah, Prof. Kodandaram, Juloori Gowri Shankar from Telangana Rachayitala Vedika, Ved Kumar from TPF, Rasamayi Balkishan, Arunodaya Rama Rao, Vimalakka, Ande Sri, TNGO leader Devi Prasad and others participated.
Telangana Co-ordination Committee conducted a memorial meeting at Somajiguda Press Club, which was attended by Gaddar, Bandaru Dattatreya and others.
