As part of administrative reforms and decentralisation of powers, the Telangana government has created 13 more new mandals in the state.
They are Gundumal and Kothapalle in Narayakhed district, Dudyal in Vikarabad, Koukunta in Mahabubnagar, Aluru and Denkeswar in Armoor revenue division of Nizamabad, Saloora in Bhodan revenue division of Nizamabad district, Seerole in Mahubabad, Gattuppal in Nalgonda, Nizamapet in Sanga Reddy, Dongli in Kamareddy, Endapalli in Jagitial revenue division of Jagitial and Bheemaram in Korutla revenue division of Jagitial district.
The Telangana state presently has 33 districts, 74 revenue divisions, 607 mandals, and 12,769 Gram Panchayats.
Scores of people and public representatives thanked the chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao for his kind gesture as he fulfilled their aspirations.
