On the eve of the 10th formation day of Telangana state, a festive atmosphere is prevailing all over the state. Chief Minister KCR will be launching the 21-day-long celebrations at the secretariat in Hyderabad. Similar on the lines of Independence Day, flag hoisting, cultural programmes, sports, competitions for students, music and dance programmes, the special poet meets and scores of other events were lined up for the next 20 days beginning today.
Chief Minister Mr KCR will pay tributes to the martyrs at Gun Park and later hoist the national flag secretariat. He would hold a meeting with the officials. Incharges were appointed to each district to oversee the celebrations.
Chief Minister Mr KCR on Thursday greeted the people of Telangana on the occasion of the 10th formation day. This day was a proud moment for every person in Telangana. It was a long and arduous journey where the activists faced hardship and endured insults but remained formidable to realise their dream of separate Telangana. Many doubted the end result and mocked the people’s movement and tried to discourage the movement. However, grit and determination prevailed and it delivered the dream.
KCR said the new state made rapid strides in development and welfare sectors. But a lot more needs to be done and the BRS would continue to strive to serve the people and take the state to further new heights.
