The initiatives of the Telangana state government in encouraging startups have gained global recognition. As many as 13 startups from Telangana got international recognition at the Tie Global Summit-100. Over 1,000 startups from 80 cities in 14 countries participated in the emerging startup competition. Of them, 13 from Telangana got global recognition.
The T-Hub set up by the Telangana government has been encouraging startups to create a unique ecosystem. The Central government celebrates January 16 as a startup day as the initiative gained momentum.
It is important to note that among the startups being encouraged by the Telangana government, two in the aerospace sector – Skyroot and Dhruva successfully launched rockets and established a name for themselves.
Apart from the technology sector, the state government is encouraging startups in Agritech, Defence, Aerospace, Edtech, Fintech, Gaming, Web 3.0, and a host of other sectors.
The IT minister K T Rama Rao who is tech-savvy has been taking a personal interest in promoting the startups in Telangana. Due to his efforts, the budget and infrastructure for the startups have been enhanced to accommodate more startups.
The T-Hub has been helping young entrepreneurs in discovering opportunities, marketing, and investment opportunities.
