In a strong rebuttal to “Ruzuvulu Leni Udyamam, Telangana Verpatuvadula 101 Abaddhalu, Vakrikaranalu”, penned by Visalandhra Maha Sabha representatives including Parakala Prabhakar, the Telangana Atma Gourava Vedika is coming out with a book “Vidveshame Dhyeyamgaa Visaandhra Maha Rabhasa”.
While Visalandhra Maha Sabha stood strongly in favour of united Andhra Pradesh, the Telangana Atma Gourava Vedika demands a separate Telangana state. It is bringing out the book not only to counter and prove integrationists wrong but also to highlight the facts on Telangana demand and the need for separate Telangana state. The “Vidveshame….” book is penned by senior journalist N Venugopal. It will be released at the Basheerbagh Press Club in the city at 6 pm on June 11.
Telangana History Society president Tadakamall Vivek will preside over the book release function. Telangana Journalists’ Forum general secretary Ch Kranti Kiran will release the book and TRS MLA T Harish Rao and others will speak.
The book war in Telugu literature is not new. When Viswanatha Satyanarayana penned “Ramayana Kalpavriksham” it was countered by Muppalla Ranganayakamma with “Ramayana Vishavriksham”. It may be recalled that Naxalites came out with a book to counter rights activist K Balagopal’s critical book “Chikati Konalu”.
