Telangana’s Akula Sreeja representing Reserve Bank of India continued her splendid performance to come out with flying colors at the 11Even Sports National Ranking West Zone Table Tennis Championship held at Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi in Pune on October 9, 2018.
Sreeja won the youth title by beating Ms. Prapti Sen of West Bengal to cling her second title this year. The first title was won in North Zone TT Championship in the month of July 2018 held in Panchkula, Haryana.
A delighted Sreeja said, “It is a fantastic victory. I am feeling very happy with my performance. All credit goes to my coach Mr. Somnath Ghosh and MLR TT Academy. I lost to Prapti Sen in Guwahati in finals and today I took it as a challenge and won the finals with her in Pune”.
Sreeja is presently ranked number 1 at the national level and has earlier stood as a runner-up in South Zone and East Zone TT Championships held in August 2018.
Sreeja has been training under coach Somnath Ghosh at the MLR Sports Academy at Meridian School in Banjara Hills.
