T-Works, India’s largest prototyping facility to be inaugurated today in Hyderabad

In its efforts to encourage innovation and startups, the Telangana government is offering another state-of-the-art facility to enterprising youth in the state. T-Works, an ultra-modern facility with about 200 latest manufacturing machines is being inaugurated today by Foxconn chairman Young Liu and minister KT Rama Rao.

Disclosing the details of the facility to the media, Mr Rama Rao said T-Works is the country’s biggest prototype centre. It is located at Rayadurgam IT corridor, The 18-acre campus accommodates T Hub, T Works, and Image Tower. It was conceived and funded by the Telangana government.

“One could just walk in with an idea and leave with the final product,” he explained. The state government spent Rs. 110 crores for the facility and another Rs. 40 crore is expected from the corporate companies.
The facility will help in the conception of ideas, engineering, fabrication, sourcing materials, and other needs and experts would be available at the campus to aid the enterprising youth in unveiling their innovations.

Mr Rama Rao said the proposed image center would be ready by December which would help in animation, gaming, and multi-media sector innovations.
