Reliable sources indicate that Telangana statehood bill would be tabled in Parliament on Dec 9th. The schedule of next steps in the statehood process would be announced in the meeting of GoM on Nov 7th.
The GoM is expected to decide the new capital and also the financial package for Seemandhra by its next meeting.
Already two state government departments have sent the requested reports to the GoM. Another nine departments are expected to send reports within a week.
Sources say that the statehood bill would be drafted by November 20th. It would be sent to the state assembly for its opinion. If CM Kiran tries to stall the process by resigning, then the UPA government is planning to impose President’s rule and proceed with the statehood process.
