In a shameless attempt to run away from an impending CBI enquiry, the state government filed a SLP (Special Leave Petition) in Supreme court and got a stay on the High court’s order of CBI inquiry into the torture case PhD Scholar Yakub Reddy.
Telangana activists criticized the state government for this brazen attempt to shield the culprits. “This proves the fact that the state government wants to hide the facts about Yakub Reddy’s torture case” said a Telangana lawyer.
Yakub Reddy vowed that he would continue his fight for justice. He said he will be going to Delhi shortly to appeal against this stay.
Delhi JAC leader Rajendar Reddy had argued the case on Yakub Reddy’s behalf.
