Karimnagar: Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman Prof. Kodandaram lashed out at Seemandhra leaders alleging that they were using money power to influence leaders in Delhi and to block the Centre’s move to declare separate Telangana.
At a meeting held in Karimnagar on Sunday, Kodandaram released a poster in connection with `Samara Deeksha’ agitation proposed by JAC to be held in Hyderabad on January 27. Addressing the gathering, he said that Seemandhra leaders were involving in manipulations and conspiracies to put hurdles in the formation of separate Telangana state.
Both the regions — Telangana and Seemandhra — would develop after the bifurcation of the state. People in the respective regions can take care of their welfare and development works. `The agitation for separate Telangana state is not against the people of Andhra region,’ he reiterated.
“If the Centre fails to take a favourable decision before January 28, the TJAC and other organizations would intensify the agitation beyond the expectations by the leaders of other parties,’’ he cautioned.
He slammed former Government’s Advisor on Security Matters K V P Ramachandra Rao for the latter’s alleged anti-stance on separate Telangana issue. Kodandaram said that KVP was involved in several scams and irregularities during the former Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s regime and he was responsible for Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s indulgence in the scams.
`Now the same Ramachandra Rao is playing a spoil sport in the case of separate Telangana,’ the Professor alleged.
Drought, water scarcity, unemployment and other problems would be solved in separate Telangana, he said and hoped that UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi would take a favourable decision on Telangana before January 28. [The Hans India]
