Attributing the formation of Telangana to hundreds of martyrs who had laid down their lives and millions of people who waged relentless fight for the Statehood cause, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday asserted that his fight would continue till he transformed the State into “Bangaru Telangana.”
KCR at his best
-Chandrababu Naidu is ‘Kirkiri Naidu’ and a liar
-Pet dogs of Naidu in Telangana are barking at TRS and me
-I was forced to talk aggressively with a lot of punchy lines during Telangana; now it’s time to work.
-Telangana should not go back in to the hands of wicked jackals
-I will work 24 hours a day to herald Golden Telangana
Addressing a mammoth public meeting at Secunderabad Parade Grounds marking the 14th formation day of TRS, the Chief Minister vowed to keep every promise to address the needs of the people who were pinning hopes on him. Stating that none of the 29 States in the country is spending Rs 28,000 crore on welfare of the people, KCR threw a challenge to the Opposition parties for an open debate on the programmes being implemented by the TRS government.
“We are ready for any debate on our government programmes at any crossroads in any part of Telangana,” he challenged. He said the government was spending huge amount on pensions, fine quality rice to hostel students and anganwadi workers. “Some people are asking me from where I get that money. I am not resorting to any burglary. As I said earlier, our budgetary resources will be utilised for our own welfare. The government has settled down just now.
We will implement all the schemes that we had promised, including construction of two-bed room houses in May,” said Rao. The Chief Minister said that he was taking time to implement the schemes so that there would not be any problems in the future. “The Congress party introduced several schemes and we have seen how they led to scams and corruption.
We are working out how to implement them, and this is taking time,” said Chandrashekar Rao. He assured that the services of contract employees would be regularised and unemployed youth would get jobs very soon. “There is a need to know the exact number of Andhra employees. The Kamalanathan Committee is delaying the bifurcation of employees. Without completion of this, if government issues notification, there is a scope of Andhra people going to court.
Over one lakh people will be provided government job,” he assured. Taking potshots at Seemandhra rulers including former Chief Minister K Rosaiah for creating problems on local jobs through 14-F clause, he alleged that many Seemandhra rulers ridiculed the fight for Telangana. “We had to face several ups and downs the movement that went on for 14 long years and the Centre had to announce Telangana when I almost kissed the death,” he said and appealed to the people to abstain from giving the State to “bad jackals.”
The Chief Minister said the government would start ‘KG to PG scheme from the next academic year on an experimental basis. KCR came down heavily on his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu for creating hurdles in the development of Telangana. He termed the AP Chief Minister as ‘Kirkiri Naidu’. “The neighbouring State Chief Minister says that he will not allow me to sleep. He has promised to waive of loans of Dwcra women group and also waive off farm loans, but he left the Dwcra women in the lurch and has not even implemented the loan waiver scheme to half of the total farmers.
There are few pet dogs of his in Telangana who are always barking at me or my party,” said KCR. The Chief Minister said that he would the lay foundation stone for Palamur Ethipothala and Nakkalagandi project in Nalgonda district within the next 10 to 20 days and assured to provide water to one lakh acre in every constituency in Mahabubnagar district. He said that Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao has been doing a brilliant work in his department and also in Mission Kakatiya.
The TRS president said that generally parties make promises before elections and forget after coming into power, but the TRS is the only party which has been implementing all the promises. He reiterated that he will sure cleanse the feet of women with safe drinking water through Water Grid. I will not ask for votes if the TRS Government failed to give waters to every household in the state.
Assuring farmers to provide nine hours power supply, KCR said that after next March, the government would provide uninterrupted power from 9 am to 5 pm. He said that Hyderabad city would be developed like Dallas in America and Singapore in the coming three to three and half years and he would present it as a gift to people in the city. During his speech, KCR recalled the ups and downs of Telangana movement after the formation of his party at Jala Drushyam at Necklace Road in 2001.
