The state government will be disbursing the Rythu Bandhu amount from tomorrow, December 28. A total of 66 lakh farmers would be getting Rs. 5,000 per acre as input cost assistance from the BRS government.
The state government will be distributing a total of Rs. 7,600 crores and this will take the total allocation of Rythu Bandhu to Rs 65,000 crores including the latest ninth round of the scheme.
The disbursal of the amount will begin with the farmers holding one acre and after they are covered, those with two acres will get the amount thus in a phased manner all the farmers are covered.
There is no such scheme anywhere in the country and even in any country. The scheme won accolades internationally. It was the brainchild of Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. The farmers in the state are elated at the gesture. Every farmer gets Rs. 5,000 per acre twice in the year as part of Rythu Bandhu.
