High polling percentages across Telangana districts proved an undercurrent wave in favor of TRS party in Telangana.
The polling percentage rose from 67 in 2009 to 72 in current elections. Nalgonda district recorded the highest polling with a record 81%, while Hyderabad recorded the lowest at 53%.
Political analysts predict that high polling percentages indicate a anti-incumbency vote to the Congress government and a pro-TRS wave.
Media outlets also predict that TRS would be able to win the requisite number of seats to form the first government in Telangana.
While TRS is set to sweep in districts like Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal and Medak. It is set to improve its performance drastically in Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad.
Several Congress bigwigs are said to be trailing in their respective constituencies.
