Property Registration to be as easy as Pizza Order

Planning to buy or sell property? No need to wait for your turn for hours at the registration office. From August 11, you can book a time slot online for registration of property across Telangana.

Upload property details and book the time slot at your convenient sub-registrar office and your registration of property will be completed within 15 minutes. This is what is being promised by the Stamps and Registration Department in the whole state.

Deputy chief minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali, who launched the portal of the Stamps and Registration Department on Thursday, said the services will be available from August 11.

The sub-registrars will receive SMS alerts on their mobiles about the booked slots. People can pay the required fee online. The new mechanism is expected to weed out middlemen and touts at sub-registrar offices.

The registration department is also planning to work on Sunday at select sub-registrar offices to facilitate registration of properties.

The department is also increasing the working hours of two sub-registrar offices – Bowenpally and Marredpally, from August 17. These two offices will function from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., so that more registrations can be taken up.

Stamp Papers at Post offices

The Registration Department signed an MoU with the Postal Department on Thursday for selling non-judicial stamp papers at 859 post offices in urban areas. This will end the shortage of stamp papers and weed out touts selling them at higher rates. Non-judicial stamp papers with denominations of Rs 10, Rs 20, Rs 50 and Rs 100 will be available at 859 post offices stamp papers from September 1
