President Pranab Mukherjee will visit the Rashtrapati Nilayam on Friday for a fourteen day southern sojourn from December 18 to 31.
During his visit, the President will tour Telugu and Kannada states. He will attend the convocation of Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering on Friday.
He will then Karnataka on December 22 and 23 where he will attend the second convocation of Central University of Karnataka on December 22 at Gulbarga. He will inaugurate the Magneto Encephalography Equipment and renovated heritage building of The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences (NIMHANS) in Bengaluru on that day.
Pranab Mukherjee will attend the 150th Anniversary of Bishop Cotton Boys’ School and lay the foundation stone of the State Cancer Institute at the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology in Bengaluru on December 23.
He will then inaugurate Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam’s Veda-Patasala at Bhimavaram in Andhra Pradesh on December 25.
On December 27, Pranab will deliver the inaugural address at the Indian Economic Association’s Conference at Prof. Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University in the city. He will also attend the Ayutha Chandi Maha Yagam being organised by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Erravelli village in Medak district on the day.
Governor ESL Narasimhan will host a dinner in honour of the President on December 29. Pranab will host a reception for senior dignitaries of the State, ministers, officials, among others at the Rashtrapati Nalayam on December 30.
