President Leaves for Delhi after 10-day Southern Sojourn

After his ten-day southern sojourn, President Pranab Mukherjee left for Delhi on Wednesday.

Governor ESL Narasimhan and chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao saw off Mukherjee at the Hakimpet Air Force station.

During his sojourn, Pranab Mukherjee visited Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirupati and Lord Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple at Yadadri in Nalgonda district. He also received the first copy of the book ‘Uniki’ penned by Maharashtra governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao.

The President also inaugurated ‘Nakshatra Vatika’, a garden on the premises of the Rashtrapati Nilayam at Bolaram.

The President visits the Rashtrapati Nilayam and stays there at least once a year and conducts official business from there.
