The High Court of Hyderabad on Wednesday has directed the LB Nagar Police to take Pratyusha to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s residence as earlier suggested by the CM himself.
The court said further actions regarding her rehabilitation and education would be decided as per suggestions from the CM. Earlier in the morning, Pratyusha was discharged from Aware Global hospital in LB Nagar and produced before the court.
The 19-year-old, who was subjected to mind-numbing torture by her stepmother Chamundeswari alias Shyamala (35) and father Zamesh (45) for the past seven months, was rescued by child rights body, Balala Hakkula Sangham and LB Nagar Police on July 8. She was immediately taken to hospital where she recovered.
During her hospitalisation, the Chief Minister had paid a visit to her. Then, he had invited her to his residence once discharged and that his family would take care of her. He had also said that he would take care of her education, accommodation and also find a suitable boy and bear all expenses of her marriage.
“Forget whatever happened so far. Everybody has to face problems in life, we must face them and survive. There is a long life ahead and you must begin a new life.You must become strong enough to help people like you. The government will take care of your treatment, education. We will also provide you a house with government’s money. I will find Never feel, you are alone. You come to my house once you are discharged. I will admit you in a good hostel and provide good education. Kavitha will be with you. Live with confidence, CM is behind you. I will provide police security to you. Home Minister, Nayini Narasimha Reddy will also help you,” the CM had said on July 18 after visiting her.
