Back in September, TDP supremo wrote a half-hearted letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh asking him to resolve the Telangana issue. Naidu worded it so carefully that he did not talk about statehood even once in that letter. He kept on harping about how Congress is deceiving the people on this “issue” and how the state is suffering because of this endless dithering. Chandra Babu demanded that an all-party meeting may be called to settle the issue.
RTI activist Rakesh Dubbudu filed an RTI petition with the PMO and sought to know what action PM took on Chandra Babu’s letter. The reply from PMO exposes how the Congress party continues to cheat the people of Telangana.
The PMO just sent an acknowledgement to Naidu and kept quiet. They sat on Chandra Babu’s letter for 3 long months, but they did nothing about it. Neither did they forward it to the Home Ministry, nor took any action on it.
This proves yet again the deceitful nature of Congress on the Telangana issue.
Here’s a copy of the acknowledgement sent to Chandra Babu by PM.
