Piped Water Supply for Karimnagar Soon, Says Etela

Finance minister Etela Rajender said that within one year, drinking water through taps would be supplied to Dharmapuri, Korutla and Jagitial Assembly segments. The minister made the announcement after unveiling a pilon for Mission Bhagiratha works along with Nizamabad MP K Kavitha at Ibrahimpatnam mandal on Friday.

After the formation of Telangana, the State is inspiring others to implement its welfare schemes, he said and added that an action plan has been formulated to provide uninterrupted day-time power supply of nine hours for agriculture sectors. The finance minister also spoke about the double-bedroom housing scheme and Mission Kakatiya works. Nizamabad MP Kavitha said that CM KCR is taking all steps to achieve the dream of Bangaru Telangana.

“Since the formation of the government, TRS has taken an initiative to fill 25,000 vacant posts in various departments. The government has sanctioned Rs 6,170 crore for drinking water schemes in the district. Earlier, foundation stones for road widening works from Metpalli to Dhamrajpalli at an estimated cost of Rs 3.60 crore and from Battapur to Godur at a cost of Rs 10 crore was laid,” she said.
