The Communist Party of India (CPI) state secretary K Sambasiva Rao said the BRS can effectively restrict the BJP in the country. The BRS can articulate better in explaining to the people about the BJP’s anti-people policies and its nefarious activities. Welcoming the formation of BRS, he said chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is capable of fighting against the BJP.
The CPI leader said they were associating with the BRS and it would be better if all the opposition parties are united to defeat the BJP in the country. The recent elections in Delhi Municipal Corporation and Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections indicate how people were resenting the BJP and how it is losing public faith with its corporate-friendly policies. Mr Modi in desperation unleashed the Enforcement Directorate, Income Tax, and Central Bureau of Investigation against the Opposition leaders to tame them. But it would not work for a longer time.
The CPI leader also faulted the Governor for keeping the bills approved by the cabinet pending. The office of the Governor has limited powers and decisions of the state cabinet are final.
Mr Sambasiva Rao said his party appreciated the ideas of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to extend the ongoing welfare schemes for weavers, fishermen, shepherds, SC, ST, and BC communities to the whole of the country.
