The Sakala Janula Samme entered 14th day in pursuit of statehood to Telangana. Today all the Telangana employees working in central Government departments in Hyderabad joined the protest. Several Central Government offices in Rajendernagar, Santosh Nagar and Uppal areas boycotted work and participated in the all section strike.
Meanwhile all the class IV employees of secretariat including drivers, office boys, sweepers and lift operators have started their strike. Neither a single Government vehicle moved, not a single lift in the offices was operated, nor did Secretariat floors were mopped.
Quite interestingly Ministers (and those who already resigned), Jupalli and Komatireddy joined the Secretariat employees strike. MPs Madhu Yashki, Rajaiah, and Ponnam Prabhakar also supported the samme. All of them unanimously warned the state Government against taking any action against the striking employees.
The transport assistant commissioner had to taste the ire of his subordinate employees when he issued suspension orders to some employees. He was gheroed by Nagam, Komatireddy, KTR and the employees at his office. He received some blows when he was adamant on taking the orders back. Literally shaken by the anger of the employees he immediately revoked the orders.
Overall, the employees strike in the Sakala Janula Samme is going on with full vigour and at the same time protecting the outsourcing and contract employees’ jobs.
