2022 has been a year of government job notifications and 2023 is all set to be a year of government jobs for the youth of Telangana. Notifications for a record 45,441 government jobs have been issued in 2022 by various recruiting agencies and departments under the Telangana government.
It has to be recalled that 1,32,899 government posts were filled in Telangana after the state formation fulfilling the aspirations of lakhs of families in the state. In March 2022, CM KCR announced in the Assembly that 80,000 vacancies in the government will be filled in a phased manner.
Walking the talk, KCR has instructed the authorities concerned to speed up the process of recruitment. The result is notifications for 45,441 government jobs in a single year.
The majority of the chunk would be filled by Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) and Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB), each filling 17,457 and 17,516 jobs respectively. The TSPSC has released recruitment notifications for Group I, Group II, Group III, and Group IV services. The preliminary examination for Group I services has been conducted and the results are expected anytime soon.
TSLPRB has released a notification for Sub-Inspector and Constable posts and the recruitment process is underway. The next major contributor to the mega notifications is Telangana’s Medical Health Services Recruitment Board (MHSRB). The MHSRB released notifications for Staff Nurses, Assistant Surgeons, and Assistant Professor posts totalling 7,677 jobs.
The most recent to the list is the notification to fill 806 posts in various departments, which got released on the last day of 2022. These posts include 615 posts in the education department, 78 posts in the municipal administration department, and 113 Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspectors posts in the transport department.
Filling one lakh government jobs was the promise made by KCR during the Telangana movement and the BRS government has surpassed the set target. It had already filled 1,32,899 jobs and is on course to fill 80,000 more government jobs in the next two years.
