The fledgling Telangana state that was born just seven years ago made impressive growth both in terms of development and welfare programmes. The Reserve Bank of India itself in its report observed that Telangana in terms of geographically is the 11th biggest state; in terms of population it is the 12th biggest while in terms of monetary contribution to the country, Telangana ranks fourth in the country.
Mr Rama Rao was in Nalgonda town where he inaugurated an SC and ST hostel at Government Polytechnic college and also laid the foundation stone for the IT Tower. He said the IT hub would provide jobs to local youth and they can now work anywhere from across the globe in view of Corona and changed protocols of the IT companies.
The minister asked the local ministers, MLAs, and officials to regularly review the progress of the town as wished by the chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao. He said he would visit Nalgonda once in a while to oversee the works.
He listed out the initiatives taken by the TRS government during the past seven years of its reign in Telangana both on the development and welfare front.
“We are not boasting our achievements. It is the Central government and its agencies including the union ministers who are giving awards to Telangana and speaking high of its achievements,” Mr Rama Rao pointed out.
Ministers K Jagadiswar Reddy and Vemula Prashanth Reddy and several others were present.
