Endowments minister Mr Indrakaran Reddy and Tribal welfare minister Satyavati Rathod asked the officials to complete the arrangements for ensuing Medaram jatara latest by January end as the jatara falls in the second week of February next year.
The ministers accompanied by MLA D Sitakka, collector Krishna Aditya, and officials of various government agencies reviewed ongoing civil works at Medaram village.
The ministers insisted that proper care should be taken to ensure safe drinking water, sanitation, dormitories, and bathing facilities in view of Corona scare. Queue lines should be properly erected and more volunteers should be pressed into service to help guide the innocent villagers coming from far and wide.
They also instructed the Roads & Buildings officials to erect signboards to guide the pilgrims thronging the place during the four days of the biggest tribal jatara.
The ministers, MLA, and officials also visited Jampanna vagu where the devotees take holy bath and inspected the bathing ghats and battery of pipes being erected there.
