Minister KTR’s USA tour packed with business meetings

Minister KT Rama Rao who is on a tour to the US to attract investments and attend business meetings is having his hands full. The minister is engaged in business meetings with representatives of several companies across sectors.

Executive leadership team of Aaron Capital, a leading investment banking company, led by its Chairman, David Wolfe met with KTR in New York.

The meeting presented an opportunity for potential collaboration between Aaron Capital and the Government of Telangana. The Minister emphasized the investment-friendly climate prevailing in Telangana, underscoring the robust innovation ecosystem, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and the availability of a skilled and readily employable workforce.

Aaron Capital specializes in mergers, acquisitions, capital formations, financing and advisory services. The firm has clients from a wide range of industries including media, healthcare & life sciences, consumer products & services, food & beverage, industrials, technology, and real estate.

Mr. Avi Basu, the founder of Wingsure – an Insurtech company, met the Minister in New York. The discussion at the meeting centered around the exploration of potential business opportunities within the domains of agriculture and agri related financial services.

Wingsure uses deep tech to deliver instant access to personalized insurance products and advisories for small farmers and rural communities globally, enabling climate and financial resilience, economic empowerment, and livelihood sustainability.

Leadership team from Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), USA, led by Greg Meyers, EVP Chief Digital & Technology Officer, met with Minister KTR in New York. The BMS team apprised Minister KTR on the progress of their Science, Technology & Innovation Center in Hyderabad which was announced in February with a $100 Mn investment. Discussions also revolved around potential opportunities for BMS in Hyderabad and their other growth plans.
