TDF, Canada had privilege to host meet and greet event with Sri. Acharya garu who is in Canada on official visit to promote Telangana tourism. It was a great intellectual and discussion session which was attended by around 50 core team members along with families.
Sri. Acharya garu briefed the audience about the progress made by government of Telangana in last year and welcomed NRIs to take apart in the process of building ‘Bangaru Telangana’. He further explained various schemes taken by Government of Telangana through video presentations and emphasized the need about NRIs contribution. He applauded the activities taken up by TDF, Canada since over a decade to uplift Telangana culture and traditions in Canada and also for its contribution towards statehood achievement.
Later on TDF Canada core team felicitated Sri. Acharya garu and thanked for attending the event in a very short notice. Established in 2005, TDF, Canada is a federally registered not-for-profit organization formed by the Telangana Non Resident Indians (T NRIs) living in Canada to preserve the cultural identity and contribute to its development. TDF, Canada is formed to provide a dais for literary, cultural, educational, social and developmental activities in Canada and as well as in the state of Telangana, India.
