Attracting huge investments, meeting honchos of global majors, and participating in panel discussions, minister KT Rama Rao has his hands full at the ongoing World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting at Davos, Switzerland.
KTR who is leading the Telangana delegation at WEF is ensuring that the youngest state of India is rightly represented on the global stage. The delegation has been successful in showcasing Telangana as the gateway of India for investments and a land of opportunities. The minister has been instrumental in drawing the attention of global firms towards the Telangana pavilion.
Representatives of the world’s top companies met KTR and either showed interest to set up shop or to expand their existing facilities in Hyderabad. A major draw at the event was WEF’s announcement to establish its thematic centre on life sciences in Hyderabad. This is WEF’s first such centre in India.
The representatives of Airtel, Pepsico, Godrej, Apollo Tyres, TVS Motors, Volvo, Service Now, Medtronic, JSW Steel, etc., have met KTR on the sidelines of WEF. In addition to these meetings, KTR participated in round tables and panel discussions. All these investments, prospective investments and announced expansions are set to create gainful employment opportunities for the youth of Telangana.
KTR, a politician with a rare mix of political acumen and subject command complemented with impressive oratory skills, has also aced the media interviews. Many national media channels interacted with the minister and he has very well presented the growth story of Telangana and highlighted the failures of the union government.
