Governor ESL Narasimhan expressed happiness over the progress in IT sector in Telangana when IT Minister KT Rama Rao gave a power-point presentation on the government’s initiatives in IT and Panchayat Raj departments on Tuesday.
“The IT initiatives of the government should be user-friendly to help solve the day-to-day needs of the people”, the governor said. According to sources, KT Rama Rao went to Raj Bhavan on the invitation of governor to know the initiatives of Telangana government in IT and Panchayat Raj departments.
The governor congratulated the minister for his initiatives and reportedly told him that the government was going on the right path. The Governor said the IT initiatives should be people-friendly, particularly the rural folk, in order to make them more educative.
Earlier, Rama Rao gave a detailed presentation to the governor and senior officers of Raj Bhavan on the IT vision of the Telangana government. The minister said that the government wants to develop Hyderabad as the most preferred technology investment destination.
Rama Rao said the government had already signed MoUs with top educational institutions like ISB, IIIH and NALSAR. Also, the Telangana Academy for Skill Development (TASK) was set up to enhance employment opportunities for engineering graduates. Rama Rao said Nascom had agreed to help TASK.
