KCR to unveil water grid pylon today

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will unveil the pylon constructed symbolising the prestigious drinking water grid project taken up by the State Government at Choutuppal in the district on Monday.

Collector P. Satyanarayana Reddy told newspersons after supervising the arrangements being made for the Chief Minister’s visit, that the pylon was constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.95 crore.

He also visited the mini stadium at Thangarapalli, where a helipad was being readied for landing the chopper in which the Chief Minister would reach the venue.

Special Secretary of the Panchayat Raj Department Prabhakar, Joint Collector Satyanarayana, Superintending Engineer of Rural Water Supply Department Papa Rao, District Panchayat Officer Prabhakar Reddy, ZPTC member P. Buchi Reddy, Sarpanch Lavanya and others also visited the site.

The project, taken up with an estimated cost of about Rs. 40,000 crore, is aimed at providing safe drinking water to every household in the State.
