KCR to meet President Pranab today

TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao will be meeting President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday.

According to the TRS Legislature Party leader E Rajender, a delegation of his party leaders headed by KCR would meet the President at Rashtrapati Nilayam at Bollaram and plead with him to ensure that the T-Bill is returned to him at the earliest so as to introduce it in Parliament during its special session.

“We will plead with the President not to extend the time given to the Assembly to express its views on the T-Bill. We will also try to explain to the President how the Seemandhra legislators are trying to drag on the process of eliciting the views of the Assembly so as to delay carving out the T-state,” Rajender said.

According to sources, in their memorandum, the TRS delegation is likely to urge the President not to allow the T-process to be further delayed as it would only widen the rift between the people of the two regions.

The TRS leaders will also raise objection to the proposed curbs on Hyderabad and request him to ensure that a “total and complete Telangana state” is delivered.
