Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao knows how to run the government and the party and the latest decision was taken as part of the process of giving good governance to people, said Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari.
Addressing a public meeting organised by the party where he was felicitated, Mr. Srihari said the decision was not aimed at targeting any individual but only a course correction.
“I am part of the manifesto committee and the TRS chief liked it. Now he gave the opportunity of implementing some of it to me. Now I have a duty to prove myself and be part of KCR’s team whose dream is to transform the State into golden Telangana,” Mr. Srihari said, drawing cheers from the gathering. Referring to the discontentment among some leaders over not getting an opportunity, he said KCR knows how to pick up people. There was no need to sulk as being in the ruling party itself was an opportunity. “Many get opportunities but few prove themselves. MP Kavitha is not just daughter of KCR now. She has got her own identity as being one among the ten women MPs of India who are good speakers,” Mr Srihari explained. He said Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu himself showered praise on Ms. Kavitha for her oratory skills and knowledge of public issues.
Rousing reception
Earlier in the day, Mr. Srihari was accorded a grand reception by party leaders from Jangaon and was taken in a procession to Hanamkonda. Except Mr. Rajaiah, who represents Station Ghanpur in the Assembly, all the MLAs, MPs and other leaders of the party were present.
The party leaders showered praise on KCR for his ‘bold decision.’ They said it clearly proved how committed the Chief Minister was to providing corruption-free and good governance to the people of Telangana.
