Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao launched the website of ‘Bio-Asia 2015’ here on Monday.
Bio-Asia is an internationally-acclaimed biotechnology and life sciences conference and business forum organised jointly by the department of industries and commerce of Telangana government and the Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA).
‘Bio-Asia 2015’ will be held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre at Madhapur here from February 2 to 4 next year. Its theme will be ‘New Era of Life Sciences: Opportunities in Transition’. Bio-Asia has emerged as a premier biotechnology and life sciences event in Asia.
Last year’s event attracted 1,200 delegates from 51 countries and 900 business partnership meetings were facilitated. Around 2,000 delegates from 60 countries are expected to participate in ‘Bio-Asia 2015’.
About Rs 1,300-crore investments flowed into Telangana through its B2B sessions at Bio-Asia. Companies like Lonza, Alexandria and Sanofi came to Genome Valley after their participation in Bio-Asia.
